Angels

Hey, my name is Jay, I'm 21 and live in Maryland. I'm a huge Orioles fan, addicted to fantasy baseball and football. Current student at the University of Maryland.

Athletics

My name is Randy Gould, I am 40 yrs. old, I live in Ambridge, PA, I work in customer service and have been a baseball fan since 1970. I have never been involved with fantasy baseball but I have heard so much about it that now I would like to try and see if I would be as good as I think I can be. I choose your league because it is the one that sounded the best.

 Braves

Hi, my name is John Matson and I'm the new owner of the Braves franchise. I'm 25 years old and live in Erie, Pennsylvania with my wife, Natalie, and 6 month old baby girl named Haley. I was an all-city baseball player in high school and played two seasons of college ball. Right now I play in two softball leagues - one fastpitch and one modified. I've played in various fantasy leagues over the past three years(Yahoo, Sandbox, Inside Corner) and have always wanted to be part of a keeper league. I'm also a big fan of the Out Of The Park text-based baseball sim, if you haven't checked it out you owe it to yourself to grab a copy, it's amazing in my opinion. I can't wait to get started rebuilding my franchise and I plan to stay very involved in the process of making this a great, competitive league!! Good luck to all, and I'm sure I'll be talking to some of you soon. John

Cardinals

My name is Randy McIntosh and I live in SE Indiana with my wife and two daughters. I am a cake specialist deliver delicious HOSTESS products daily and just elected to my third term as a School Board member. In my forties and have been playing fantasy sports since the commodore 64 days. I like the Reds, Colts, and Pacers. I used to like the Bengals until Paul Brown died and they became a traveling freak show. The Reds still suffer the same results, but a trend to younger players is adding some excitement. I'm not afraid to trade, so let them fly. I am kind of picky about getting my type of players. Sounds good, but even after all these years I'm not sure I know what MY TYPE OF PLAYERS means. THEY'RE JUST NAMES ON PAPER. Have a great year. I use the name of Mack Cardinals in this league because of the other Randy. So either Randy or Mack is fine.

Colt 45’s

I am your Commissioner. My name is Greg Sovan and I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, about 5 miles from Comerica Park in Detroit. I went to two games last year. I used to go to about 5 games a year at Tiger Stadium. The new Park is nice, but the $12 seats at Tiger Stadium are now $50 at Comerica. I have been involved in Fantasy Leagues since the early 80’s, and before that I used to play various baseball board games like APBA and Strat-o-Matic.  I have now created a new game called Ballhalla which incorporates many of the great features of all the great baseball board games.  I have made the 2007 season, the 1908 season, and am currently working on the 1964 season cards.

I have completed a 32 team tourney of the Greatest Teams of the 20th Century. It is called Ballhalla. I am using Lance Haffner’s Full Count Baseball, the best baseball simulation I have yet to play. Lance gives you ratings for every team and every player from 1871 to 2000 on his CD. It is a text-based game.

Darrin Werner. I am 28 years old married with 1 child. Ii live just outside of St. Louis. I have been playing competitive fantasy baseball for 4 years. I am in a keeper league through Big Apple Sports which is a very competitive12 team league with 34 players. We keep 16 every season. It is a pay league. Dodgers

Hey everyone, I’m happy to join this league. I am 24 yrs old I have been in fantasy baseball and footbal leagues before  but this being my first really competitive baseball league. Well for starters I love sports and I live, eat, and breath baseball, I have done so since I could pick up a baseball, I also like to bowl. During the baseball season I work for the St. Louis Cardinals on their field crew and I spend most of ma time at Busch Stadium. Its a pretty sweet job, especially after last season, haha. But I will do ma best to make an impression on this league and I look forward to many years to come...   Justin

Indians

My name is Chris Lafrance. I'm also from Mass. (Seems like some of us have stuff in common). Well two of you are my friends that told me about the league, Chris/Red Sox and Matt/Orioles. I have been involved in many leagues over the past 9 years. I am 23, work full-time, and spend a lot of time working on my car. Good luck to all..

Mets

My name is Steve Pfister and I am from Pittsburgh, PA and am 24 years old. I just recently got married to my wife Lauren and we're still trying to figure out what it is like to be married : - ). I am an avid computer and video game nut and I spend most of my days working as a computer programmer. Over the past 24 years of my life I've attempted to be the athlete that I am not and played baseball, basketball, etc. Currently, I try to play modified softball and I really enjoy doing that. I have a passion for following baseball, football and hockey and am typically involved in fantasy baseball every year. This is my first stint in this league and thus far it's been great. I like the fact that everyone is going to participate and look forward to a good year.

Orioles

My name is Dave and I currently reside in Tucson, AZ as a graduate student at the UofA.  Am a huge sports fan (any sport you can imagine really) and got into this league as reference from Andy Phillies and Greg Giants, whom I went to school with at "da U".  To all, my time is coming, so beware of the coming of the Orioles!

Phillies

My name is Greg Tiessen and am from Leamington ON. I am 24yrs old. However, I currrently live in nearby Windsor and attend the University there. I played many sports growing up but am most profficient in baseball and hockey. My favourite teams are the Toronto Blue Jays (which dearly frustrate me expcept for Roy) and the Detroit Redwing (I bleed Red....). I am a newby in this leage but have played fantasy sports elswhere so don't take me lighty..... I am taking over Andy Phillies and many, many changes are happing. Its time to clean house and bring the Phillies back to limelight, just like their '08 World Series march. I am happy to a member in the league and i look forward to playing you all. G.

Pirates

My name is Mike Timberlake and I live near Boston, MA. I'm 25 and I've been a fantasy player since junior high. I'm also a budding sabermetric, so this league was especially appealing to me. I was in the league before for a year, but didn't quite grasp the concept at that point. Now, I've done my Jedi training and I'm back! I just got married in 2002 and looking forward to the challenge of my wife constantly nagging about fantasy sports. I'm a die hard Red Sox fan just waiting for the day they turn Fenway Park into a parking lot and open up a comfortable place to watch a game. I can be reached at timby007@yahoo.com or on AIM at timbi007.

Red Sox

Since I was born and raised in Mass, I took the Red Sox. Maybe now they can finally get rid of the curse (Fantasy-wise at least). I've been involved in Fantasy Leagues for about seven years now. I participated in Yahoo's fantasy league for the first time last year and found it to be a lot of fun. I managed four different teams there and finished respectably in each. I'm looking forward to lots of fun with this league for many years to come. Chris Saulnier

I am 16 years old and live in Amherstburg Ontario Canada. My passion/favorite sport is soccer and I play at an elite level and am being scouted bt many semi-pro, and professional teams. I am a sports nut, and am a walking encyclopaedia on stats. My favorite baseball team is the Cleveland Indians, my favorite NFL team is the Steelers, and my favorite hockey team is the Montreal Canadiens, and of course my favorite soccer team is Manchester United. I follow baseball farely close because my brother plays elite baseball in the United States. I would just like to say good luck to everyone this year, and thanks for the opportunity and I am looking forward to the new season.

Yankees

My name is Brent Coughlin; I'm a sports-aholic from Ontario, Canada. I'm a computer specialist. This is my 2nd year here at BB3000. I think Greg runs a great league, so I'll probably be around for many more. I commission a fantasy hockey & football league. Favourite Sports Franchises (in order): Toronto Maple Leafs, Miami Dolphins, New York Yankees. The A's have become my 2nd favourite ball squad. My goal this season is to finish one spot higher than I did last year. Good luck to all; it should be a fun year...
